Blaster Force (prototype)

Blast evil robots in the face with lasers, to the rhythm of a mesmerizing synthwave soundtrack. Chill to the neon A E S T H E T I C, as you run and gun your way through waves of robot hoards! 

Become a heroic member of the Blaster Force, fending off malicious virus bots who want to reprogram all the peace and music out of your enlightened droid society. A rhythmic arcade shoot-em-up, with cool 80s vibes.

How To Play

Move with the Up and Down arrow keys, or with the W and S keys.
Shoot with Left and Right arrow keys, or with the A and D keys.
Or, use the mouse buttons to shoot:      LMB: Shoot Backward         RMB: Shoot Forward
Pause with the Spacebar or Esc key.

Move up and down the four lanes to shoot and dodge the oncoming waves of enemy robots. The goal of the game is to score as many points as you can by shooting the enemies, before they finally take you down. Can you keep beating your own high score?

Sword-Bots take one shot to destroy. Roller-Bots take three shots to destroy. Boss-Rollers take eight shots to destroy.

Shoot several enemies in a row to score bonus points. The bonus increases the longer you maintain your kill streak. If your shot misses, you lose your bonus streak!

If an enemy gets past you, you can shoot backward to blast them in the back.

If an enemy touches you or gets away, it's GAME OVER!

About This Project

Blaster Force was inspired by retro 80s aesthetics and arcade gameplay, futurized for the 2020s! 

This is a very early prototype. I plan to expand on this game in the future, adding many more features, visuals, music, enemies, and player characters.
